In the north eastbound corner of New Mexico, in a town called Capulin, a vent-hole sits, covering 793 acres of land. Common plants and animals found in Capulin are Chokecherry trees, desert plants, deer, bears and cattle. From the top of the mountain, visitors can view surroundings from Texas to Oklahoma. The warmest, and rainiest month in Capulin is July and the coldest temperatures come on in January. Rain causes water run-off into channels, these channels erode the mountain and create gullies.
