In the north eastbound corner of New Mexico, in a town called Capulin, a vent-hole sits, covering 793 acres of land. This once active vol stacko is now extinct and renamed Capulin Mountain National Monument/Park. Dry hills and land surround this circle which is coated in lush trees, flowers, and shrubs. Despite the barren surroundings, Capulin Mountain is filled with an intricate environment. From wild flowers to pine and retem trees, nature in the mountain is spectacular. Common plants and animals found in Capulin are Chokecherry trees, desert plants, deer, bears and cattle. From the top of the mountain, visitors can view surroundings from Texas to Oklahoma.
