When I watched the image of Robert Smithsons loop Jetty, the first intimacy that appe ard in my mind was a lollipop. This grave consists of several never-ending circles. The spiral jetty was strengthened entirely of mud, table salt crystal, basalt rocks, earth, and water on the northeastern shore of the Great table salt Lake. The other thing is that this sculpture is really giant. It forms a 1,500-foot-long (460 m), 15-foot-wide (4.6 m) sinistral coil prominence from the shore of the lake.
