Mrs. Mallards dramatic development of her character is shown through the remainder of her husband. It demonstrates that a true identity can non be hidden forever. single may quickly assume that Mrs. Mallard was living in a constrained marriage and snarl restricted. Her life and actions were controlled by her husbands wishes, not her own. She was a wife who was love but was mostly instructed on how to live her life and felt as if she did not have a voice in anything that mattered while being married. She didnt blame her husband for his unconscious mind way of being with her. To her it was common that was all he knew how to be.

The response Mrs. Mallard shows us- is not one of a true suffer widow at that period of time. She did burst out in tears blatant due to the loss of Mr. Brently- she even imagined herself crying over him at his funeral service.



But when she actually came to think of him no longer being a part of her life- She came to accept his final stage immediately (on the inside) not like most that refused to come to impairment with a loved ones death. Mrs. Mallard was not feeling joy because of his death but mostly was experiencing this pleasure because of her new found freedom. As Mrs. Mallard learns of her husbands passing she gains a sense of relief and independence-she suddenly grew as a woman. She went from a lifeless submissive wife to a woman who finally stood up and took control of her own journey.

The mean solar day she learned of his death it was a beautiful spring day. further like spring when nature comes to life again so was Mrs. Mallard, she became alive once again!
