Another thing that they think about is athletics, whether it is football, hoops or any other sport they follow. This is something that most Americans eat up in common. The NCAA has strict rules for all of their student athletes. In new years certain prepares have broken these rules to benefit the school and get better players to come to their school. These violations by schools have do a mockery of what the NCAA stands for. Paying college students is one of many rules of the NCAA that is prohibited. A big debate in the nation today is whether or not college athletes should be salaried for their services to the school, because football and basketball players bring in so much money to the schools base on how well they perform. Athletes already receive full development for their athletic skills. College athletes have never been legally paid to play, so they shouldnt change the rules now just because football and basketball players bring money to the school. Student athletes already have a major(ip) advantage by playing college sports and getting their college paid for compared to the average college student who has to take out student loans to requital for high college tuitions.

CBS, a television company, bought the rights to the entire NCAA college basketball tournament for 6 billon dollars (Davis). The bowl games arrive income from sponsorships and TV contracts. Last year, the combined BCS payout was nearly $182 million, with roughly 80 percent of the money going to the six power conferences that created the BCS (Harris).
