An Experience that influenced Me.

Fishing has been with me for most of my life now. I commencement-year started when I was 8.
It would have been around 2004. My Mum, Dad, Sister and I were sledding up to my Gran and Grandas for a visit. They stay in the North East of Scotland in a small townspeople called Buckie. When my sister and I went up we always wanted to go up the loft. It was like a treasure trove to us! My sister was implicated in all the toys that my mum and her 3 sisters used to play with and for me the interest was the m each Commando books individual had collected.
On this particular visit, I had spotted some of my Grandas old fishing rods hanging up. I asked him if there were any reels for them and if they still worked. Sensing my interest, he went and fished out his old reels to instal me. I remember wondering what all the leavers and knobs do and existence scared I would break them. I was very interested by this point and he had picked up on this. I started to ask how it all worked and he happily showed me. Fishing is a part of life up in Buckie. Eventually he asked me if I wanted to go out with him to the pier ware by the docks and see if we could find out any Mackerel. Of course I express Yes! and this was the start of my interest in fishing.



As an octonary year old, I was nervous with anticipation; I authentically thought I would catch hundreds.
We went out the next daytime and caught heehaw! However this did not deter me from trying once more and again and somehow made me more eager for that first fish.
By this point I had decided that fishing was something I in reality wanted to get into and for my 9th birthday my Gran and Granda had bought me my very first rod, and I will never forget the time I caught my first fish. It was at Burns Trout Fishery in Tarbolton; I had gone there with my dad and had been there for 2 hours. We were intimately ready to pack up when the manager came by and asked if that was us.
