In the beginning it seems like a normal diary; she negotiation about crushes, school, friends, typical girl things. It also starts out on her 13th birthday (June 12,1942). She moves to Netherlands. Later Years she is greeted by reality War II. But to her surprise the same people who she was racetrack from, Germans, invades her home place. Being Jewish her family must go into hiding. They take shelter above Otto Franks office. Anne then starts to print about the war and much of what she is feeling. She also writes about her cutting perspective on her family. In the end the family is arrested by Nazis. The book than comes to an unknowing end. Theme: The loneliness of being young. Who you are inner(a) versus what you portray on the outside.

Personal Reaction: I shew this book to be very interesting. Usually I am bored when reading a historical book, but this rattling captivated me. It was your usual book of facts. This was a diary showtime of all which kind of gave it that realistic fiction feel. But pipe down gave you facts and brought you by dint of the everyday life of Anne Frank. Thematic Connection: The book first starts off when Anne is 13 but ends when shortly afterwards she turns 15. So you get to experience her mature and go through puberty.
